With more than seventeen years of experience studying microbes and endophytes as a researcher and professor in France, the US, and Colombia, Emilie brings in all her passion and knowledge about beneficial plant-microbes interactions, microbial ecology, and about the most sophisticated techniques in microbiology, molecular biology, and computational biology. Emilie is also sharing her experience in managing research laboratories.

Erich Pinzón-Fuchs, Ph.D.

Erich has worked as a researcher and professor of economics in Colombia, France, and the US for the last twelve years. Since the foundation of Endófita, he has become a convinced and enthusiastic student of the importance and power of beneficial plant-microbe interactions, and of the possibilities that the combination of science and agriculture can bring to millions of people and the environment.

Our mission at Endófita Biotechnology is to help Colombian and Latin American agricultural producers thrive and become world leaders in their industry through the application of responsible practices and environmentally-friendly products that mitigate the effects of climate change. Our comprehensive scientific-based solutions help companies optimize crop procedures in safe and organic ways. Our objective for the next five years is to become the most important biotechnology center in Latin America.
It is true that Colombia and other Latin American countries have numerous geographical and climate advantages to grow different kinds of crops. Yet, it is also true that these advantages can be harnessed at their maximum only when combined with innovation, technology, science, and a respectful attitude towards nature and ancient wisdom. Endófita Biotechnology wants to provide the Colombian and Latin American agricultural industry with the scientific approach necessary to make the most out of its geographic and climate advantages, so that we can truly become a central player in the global agricultural industry.
Our facilities
We count with a terrain of 32 hectares, located only 60km north of Bogotá. In addition to being just beautiful, our land is surrounded by an important reservoir, native forests, and marvelous mountains that provide it with spring water around the year. About 2,600 meters above sea level, our land provides the perfect climatic conditions to grow any kind of plants.
Our lab
We set up a fully opperatoinal micro- and molecular biology lab with an initial surface of about 80 sq. m. We are also preparing an area of about 2,000 sq. m. where we will conduct experiments and efficacy tests of our organic products, and produce high-quality compost and compost-tea, and other products based on beneficial microbes.
